More about the programme:
Easter Day marks the greatest festival in the Christian calendar. And in many churches, the celebration of Christ鈥檚 resurrection is also a memorable occasion for particular individuals and for families. Some believers make a public declaration of their faith by total immersion; and babies have water poured on their heads. Both ceremonies are called baptism, and both celebrate new life. Roy Jenkins asks what the continuing appeal of baptism is, and what it all means?
With the Rev Dr Karen Smith, minister of Orchard Place Baptist Church in Neath, the Rev Chris Darvill, vicar of the Anglican parish of Llansamlet in Swansea, and Canon Matthew Jones, priest in the Catholic parish of Llanishen in Cardiff, and we also hear the personal testimonies of Jayne Bright, Rhian Loydon and Cori Corbett.
