Steve Lane, one of the great characters of British Jazz, died in August 2015 at the age of 93. He played cornet and led a highly successful band, his Southern Stompers, for many successful years. Remembering his contribution to jazz, some of his recordings with the band are featured in this edition of Jazz Club. Plus some rare recordings of Sarah Vaughan in live performance in New Orleans.
