Minding Mental Health

In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 4 of us will experience problems with our mental wellbeing at some point in our lives.

The more we know about mental health problems, the greater the opportunity we have to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for people affected by it, and that is why the National Centre for Mental Health needs thousands of people to come forward to help them with their mental health research.

In this programme Adam speaks to the scientists involved in carrying out cutting edge research into the genetics behind mental health conditions, and he meets some of the volunteers sharing their own experiences in order to help others, stamp out stigma, and make a real difference as to how we think about mental health in the future.听
