This series gives viewers a behind the scenes view of the airports across the Highlands and Islands, through the eyes of the people who work there.

In this programme, the fire team at Dundee Airport practices for an emergency where a plane has supposedly crashed at low tide in Invergowrie Bay at the west end of the runway, which turns into a sea of mud twice a day. They need specialist equipment including mud shoes to keep them from sinking, and it's heavy going for the crew.

The coastguard helicopter from Inverness is in the mountains near Ullapool doing a joint exercise with the RAF mountain rescue team where two people are stranded on a mountain. Viewers get a dramatic winchman's view of what happens. And we travel on the seaplane from Loch Lomond, which is busy taking tourists and workers on journeys to Skye and the inner isles.
