Adam tells Jennifer that Ian is spending a lot of time with friends and Helen has told him Ian is looking at new jobs further afield. Jennifer assures him Ian has too many things tying him to Ambridge. She thinks Adam should give Ian some space. Brian arrives and they all enjoy discussing his role in Tom's mock interview.

As Rob can't make his contact time, Helen takes Henry and Jack to the playground for the first time. Pat says that Helen has a new lease of life. Pat and Tom discuss the work at Grange Farm to divert the spring.

Alice shows Jennifer, Brian and Adam a presentation she is giving that evening to a group of farmers about her company's products. Brian doesn't show much enthusiasm and she dashes off to improve it.

Johnny thinks he and Tom should move to No 1, The Green straight away. Later that evening they settle into their new home. Johnny is excited by the prospect of bringing girls back. Tom says the house holds a lot of memories as he's previously lived there with Kirsty and with Brenda before that.

Alice tells Adam her presentation was a disaster. Adam says the trick is to learn from your mistakes; he only wishes he had. When Adam mentions giving Ian some space, Alice advises not to leave it for too long.
