Suzi Perry presents coverage of qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix, as the 22 drivers head into battle. Guests David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan offer their expert insight in Shanghai, where in 2012 Nico Rosberg claimed his first ever Formula 1 pole position. Rosberg's 2013 teammate Lewis Hamilton had caught the eye in the practice sessions, topping the time sheets in two of the three available; however, it was the German who found his pace when it mattered most in qualifying. It was Mercedes' first pole position since Juan Manuel Fangio's heroics in the 1955 Italian Grand Prix. But it was not only the German's efforts that made it a qualifying to remember -reigning champion Sebastian Vettel failed to make it into the top ten shoot-out for the first time since the Brazilian Grand Prix in October 2009.
