Leaflets from loyalist bully boys threatening "police informers" were left on cars in east Belfast on Friday night.
Leaflets from loyalist bully boys threatening "police informers" were left on cars in east Belfast on Friday night. The flyers, featuring a gunman and the union jack, read: "All PSNI informers will be put out of this area." Stephen talks to Alliance Party MLA Chris Lyttle, UUP councillor and former mayor Jim Rodgers, former assistant chief constable Alan McQuillan and PUP's Ken Wilkinson.
Also on the programme, residents in the Archdale and Bessbrook area are becoming increasingly concerned by a spate of burglaries in the area in recent weeks. One family were left traumatised after finding that their pet Jack Russell dog had been killed by robbers on Friday night. The community have rallied together and started patrols in the area in a bid to catch those behind the break-ins. Stephen talks to Sinn Fein councillor Roisin Mulgrew.
Plus, should we be jailing less and dishing out more community service type punishments instead? Well that's the suggestion from top judge Lord Thomas. He says that in order to tackle high prison populations - we should consider giving very tough community penalties in some cases - instead. Stephen gets the views of commentator Emma Woolf and fromer MP Lembit Opik.
And, a defibrillator in east Belfast has been vandalised just one week after it was put in place. It was situated outside a funeral directors on the Woodstock Road. The life saving device is now out of action after vandals attacked in yesterday.
