Radio 1 at the Roundhouse

Radio 1 delves into the archives for some classic live performances from London's iconic Roundhouse venue - expect the likes of Oasis, Gorillaz, Mark Ronson and more...

London's legendary Roundhouse venue celebrated its 50th birthday in 2016 and to mark the occasion Phil Taggart has been digging through the Radio 1 and 1Xtra archives to unearth some of the unique performances which have taken place under its roof.

Listen out for:

- Oasis accompanied by the Crouch End Festival Chorus at the Electric Proms in 2008

- Hip Hop and Tribe Called Quest legend - Q tip - in a rare London performance

- The Kaiser Chiefs combining forces with esteemed music producer and composer David Arnold

- Gorillaz, performing a special showcase for Radio 1 in 2010

- 1Xtra's Spoken Word festival - Words First

- Kasabian with the 麻豆官网首页入口 Concert Orchestra from October 2006

- East London art-rockers Bloc Party performing with the Exmoor Singers, a London based choir, who sang specially created choral arrangements

- Dizzee Rascal complete with The Heritage Orchestra from 2009

- And when Mark Ronson brought his band to the Roundhouse in 2007 with a host of special guests, including a relatively unknown singer called Adele.
