Farooq Family
Families consider relocating down under. Will a trial week in Adelaide be enough to persuade Rehan's wife Tanya to follow his dream?
Ever since his twin sister emigrated to Sydney, Rehan Farooq has longed to follow in her footsteps. Now a dad to two young children, he is more convinced than ever that his family should make the move too. But having relocated ten times in the last 14 years because of Rehan's job, his wife Tanya thinks Australia could be a step too far. Currently living round the corner from her parents, she worries about leaving them behind and taking their only grandchildren away from them.
A trial week in Adelaide sees Rehan reunited with his sister and gives the family a glimpse of what life down under would be like. Will it be enough to make Rehan's Australian dream come true, or will it leave Tanya convinced home is where the heart is?

Farooq family update
We caught up with the family recently and they revealed they did not have a straightforward return to the UK.
Unfortunately Rehan along with children Alayna and Elijah became unwell after the trial week in Adelaide. Youngest Elijah was hospitalised with suspected pneumonia delaying their return home for another week.
But it hasn鈥檛 put the family off at all, in fact the dream of moving down under is stronger than ever. Tanya has passed her driving test and returned to work after maternity leave in her new career as a Primary School Teaching Assistant.
They are still living in Gateshead and the plan is to work for two years so they have time to save and apply for visas. We wish them well.
