When a new father was dumped by his wife and left holding their newborn baby, his local council Thurrock was there to give him a helping hand with benefits. But all was not as it seemed, as fraud investigators soon discovered.
And we meet Christian, a young person who, after leaving school into a recession, struggled to find paid work. After his original apprenticeship fell through, Christian faced the prospect of signing on.
