Public Service Broadcasting

Mark Radcliffe presents solo and chats to J Willgoose Esq of Public Service Broadcasting.

Mark Radcliffe chats to J. Willgoose, Esq of Public Service Broadcasting. The band builds up instrumental tracks around samples of old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material. Previously they've covered subjects such as the Space Race and World War II. Now they're turning their sights to the mining industry in Wales in the 1950s-80s. Their latest album Every Valley was recorded in Ebbw Vale, a town once famous for its coal mines and steelworks. Guests on the record include Traceyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura and James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers.

PLUS! What will feature on The Chain today? And who's going to be first to guess the link between all 3 records on Teatime Themetime? YOU DECIDE.
