Series looking at benefit fraud. Iraqi refugee Mahira is suspected of creating a property empire and putting her son through private school at the expense of the taxpayer.
Mahira fled her home country of Iraq and sought asylum here in the UK. Investigators now suspect she has been using false identities to steal thousands from the benefit system - creating a property empire and putting her son through private school at the expense of the taxpayer.
And Dom meets Dee and her daughter, who faced having to make a new life for themselves in the UK after leaving Portugal following the breakdown of her marriage. With no money to tide them over, getting a job and a place to call their own was a struggle. But help was at hand in the form of a local housing association.
