Maghera Roots
Maghera has a vintage display and exhibition of farming life coming up. It’s a collection of memories documented over the past year from farming life in the area during the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. The initiative was started by James Armour who introduced Anne Marie to a retired farmer, Harry Armstrong. Anne Marie went along to Harry’s home place where he grew up and got the full tour.Â
Magical Masquerade
A fantasy adventure story which enters a world of secrets, spells and enchantments inspired by and set on the North Coast. Magical Masquerade is a book written by Magherafelt journalist, Claire Savage who was Inspired by her own childhood memories of holidays in Portballintrae.Â
