Summer 1920: Lucia (Mrs Philip Lucas) returns to her beloved Riseholme after the exhausting social round in London. But all, it seems, is not well.
In her absence an upstart has assumed control of the cultural life of the village. The light of battle enters Lucia's eye.
A five-part comedy series based on the novel by EF Benson, dramatised and narrated by Aubrey Woods.
Stars Barbara Jefford as Lucia, Jonathan Cecil as Georgie Pillson, Jane Wenham as Daisy Quantock and Bernard Brown as Colonel Boucher.
