Waringstown and Bryansford in County Down have been transformed with trails for canoes, mountain bikes and walking, all thanks to聽Dr Carolyn Ferris. And her hard work as聽executive director with Outdoor Recreation hasn't gone unnoticed, as she was聽recently recognised in the Queens Birthday Honours list.
Young and Mackenzie
We're great believers on Your Place And Mine that buildings as well as people have great stories to tell - and no more so is that evident than in architectural historian Dr Paul Harron's new book, which charts the 110 year history of a Belfast based architect firm Young and Mackenzie.
Marine Mammals
It's Marine Week, and in Donaghadee, Cushendall, Cultra, Rostrevor, Glenarm and Carlingford here will be lots of watching, walking and exploring. The aim is to get people聽looking for marine mammals, cuttlefish and anything that lives in a rock pool.
Wickerman Gathering
Celtic celebrations will take centre stage at Navan in County Armagh this weekend, with the annual Wickerman gathering - so it's the perfect chance for us to hear how the people from this ancient part of the province of Ulster would have lived.
