Following the passing of Walter Love, we rebroadcast a Jazz Club special with Sir Van Morrison. In the first of two programmes he discussed his early musical influences including bluesmen Sonny Terry, Leadbelly, and Howlin' Wolf, alongside jazz artists Woody Herman, Louis Armstrong, Lonnie Johnson, and Miles Davis. The programme also included a family touch - a recording of Van's mother Violet singing Basin Street Blues.
