A service to mark the beginning of the Reformation. Presented by Rev Dr Bert Tosh.

Five hundred years ago, on the 31st October 1517, unknown German Augustinian friar Martin Luther published a document containing 95 theses on the subject of indulgences. That event is now generally regarded as the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Rev Dr Bert Tosh looks at Luther's spiritual journey, and the principles that were to drive the Reformation. The service also examines the fascinating mixture that was Luther the man and has extracts from his many writings. Reader is Etta Halliday.
