Zimbabweans celebrate the end of Robert Mugabe's 37-year reign of power.
The US embassy in Zimbabwe has called President Robert Mugabe's resignation "historic", saying it is an opportunity for the nation to set itself on a new path that will lead to free and fair elections. News of his resignation was made to parliament made by the speaker, Jacob Mudenda. He read from a letter sent by Mr Mugabe.
