The man who was shot dead in west Belfast last night was Raymond Johnston. The victim - who was in his late twenties - was shot twice at the home of his partner in Glenbawn Avenue in Poleglass.

The police say members of self-styled paedophile-hunter groups operating in Northern Ireland could face charges for their activities. Others within the criminal justice system have also expressed concern about some of the methods the groups are using and warned that they could undermine efforts to convict offenders.
