More about the programme

Restrictions on when and where the oldest, dirtiest vehicles can drive are commonplace on the continent - with the running to some 300 cities.

Now politicians in Wales are asking if Clean Air Zones which put controls on where the most polluting vehicles can freely drive could help reduce air pollution here.

Clean air campaigners argue that such bold changes are long over-due but not everyone is convinced that the road that's being mapped out is the right one.

In the first of a new series of Eye on Wales, presenter Nelli Bird explores how far the public and politicians are prepared to go to tackle air pollution.
