The Access Project helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential by buddying them up with a mentor who helps them with their studies and offers them guidance to get into university or employment. One of the charity’s volunteers is Fatos Nacakgedigi and she tells Jill and Angie why she is giving back to the charity that helped her when she was younger.

In August, Muslims around the world will mark what is the holiest day of the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha. It’s known as ‘The Festival of Sacrifice’ and marks the end of the Hajj – the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to do at least once in their lifetime. Imam Abid Khan is the Director of Education and Assistant Imam of Cheadle Mosque in Manchester and tells Good Morning Sunday why this date is so important.
