Captain John Handy, the liveliest alto player in town when he played New Orleans from the 1920s, in sessions recorded at three later dates. Plus Jack McDuff, Richard Holmes and Freddie Roach, jazz organists, as they sounded in the 1960s; and contemporary New York singer Allegra Levy with songs inspired by the moon.
