His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will feature in a special landmark edition of 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3鈥檚 Private Passions, to mark the programme reaching over 1000 editions. The programme will be available exclusively on 麻豆官网首页入口 Sounds from Boxing Day, before airing on 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3 on Sunday 30th December at 12 noon. 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3 is the radio station that aims to connect audiences with remarkable music and culture. Private Passions is one of Radio 3鈥檚 longest-running programmes in which guests discuss the influence music has had on their lives. The Prince speaks to presenter and composer Michael Berkeley about the intrinsic role music plays in his life.

Personal memories and key moments in His Royal Highness鈥檚 life are woven throughout the programme as he discusses his varied musical choices. Among his selection is music that was performed at his wedding to Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, as well as a work he personally conducted with members of the Philharmonia Orchestra as part of Her Royal Highness鈥檚 60th birthday. He also speaks openly about formative early childhood experiences of attending the ballet and concerts with his grandmother, The Queen Mother, as well as his time as a student at Cambridge where he played the cello with the Trinity College Orchestra.
