Public interest or journalism of the lowest order? The media attention on Angela Merkel's health. Is it anyone's business?

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been in the media spotlight recently because she has been seen on camera shaking for a third time in a month. Video footage shows Mrs Merkel trembling, shaking back and forth alongside Finland's prime minister during a ceremony in Berlin on Wednesday. After the incident, Mrs Merkel said she was "very well" and there was "no need to worry". A recent editorial in German newspaper Bild has said that "the health of Angela Merkel is now a political issue." But should it be a political issue? Vinny got the views of commentators Fionola Meredith and Patricia MacBride, and medical ethics expert Dr Brendan McCarthy.

Also on the programme, prisoners could be given their own keys to their cells if they behave under new rules. Guards will also be expected to give personal, warm and encouraging praise under a new shake up as they have been told that criminals will behave better if they are given "frequent" kind words instead of just being told off when they break rules. Vinny got the views of commentator Simon Warr and the writer and former prisoner, Tim Brannigan.

And, Tory leadership hopeful Boris Johnson has pledged to pass a new law to stop prosecutions of former soldiers who served in Northern Ireland. Allison Morris from the Irish News and Ben Lowry from the News Letter discuss.
