The history of the Lions goes back to 1908, when they were beaten 2-1 over a three test series by the touring Kiwis. The Lions last played New Zealand in 2007 when they completed a 3-0 home Test whitewash. The latter win being a 28-22 victory in Wigan, with Rob Burrow, Danny McGuire and Jon Wilkin among the try scorers.
