Known around the world for his dry wit, writer, broadcaster and poet Clive James was born in 1939. Moving to England in 1962, he rose to prominence as a literary critic and TV columnist. He went on to deliver wry commentary on international programming, most memorably in Clive James On Television.

Clive died aged 80 in November 2019.
