Rugby has seen huge worldwide growth in the past 20 years, particularly in areas you’d least expect. But what is it that motivates players to pick up the oval ball?

This series of five programmes follows up-and-coming rugby players based in Scotland and Ireland, from grass roots to professional level, as they strive for success and the ultimate goal of crossing the line. We see all aspects of the game - the highs of winning, the training, the injuries, and the heartbreak of defeat.

We catch up with Iona Whyte who, as well as being on the pitch with her club Cartha Queens Park Women, can also be seen in front of the camera as a rugby reporter. And, the Stornoway Ladies are on the road again, this time to Lerwick in Shetland for the final game of their season. Coach Bubble also has a big decision to make about his future with the team.
