Lisburn, Castlecaulfield and VJ Day

Commemorations are planned in Fermanagh to mark VJ Day, an account of a Portrush man's experiences during WWII and the Ulster Aviation Society museum is to reopen in Lisburn.

Victory in Japan Day is to be commemorated in Enniskillen with a number of events planned throughout the day. A Portrush man tells his father's incredible story of capture, imprisonment and slave labour on the Burma railway line during the Second World War. The Ulster Aviation Society's collection of aircraft is to be reopened at their Lisburn hangar and a look back at summer fair days in Castlecaulfield.
