Episode 9

Five dealers try to outbid each other for items brought in by the public, including an auction catalogue with Titanic links, two peculiar heirlooms and a unique advertising figure.

Nigel Havers welcomes three more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

James from Stoke-on-Trent has brought in a pair of perplexing family possessions. Simon works out they are Victorian horse-hair singers, but will the dealers? Alice from Wales is selling an unusual item: a moulded model advert for men’s underwear from the early 20th century. And Kathy from Leicester wants to sell a catalogue of items from an auction organised to help the families of victims of the Titanic disaster. Titanic-related memorabilia usually sells well, and with such a poignant and touching story behind this particular item, can Kathy appeal to the dealers’ hearts and convince them to pay the price she’s hoping for?

Today's dealers are Adi, James, JB, Lucy and Tash. Will any of them match, or even top, the valuation placed on each of the items?
