Paul Theroux talks to Tom Sutcliffe about his latest novel 鈥淯nder The Wave At Waimea鈥 set in Hawaii where he now lives. Published just as he鈥檚 celebrated his 80th birthday - it uses surfing as an allegory for consideration of ageing, contemplation, writing, reading and reflecting on his professional and personal life. The conversation ranges across Theroux's long and successful career as a writer of fiction and of travel books.
