Cardiff Singer of the World 2021
Nicola Heywood-Thomas discusses this year's Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, now in its 20th edition.
Starting this weekend at St David’s Hall in Cardiff, 16 classically trained singers from across the globe will be competing in the prestigious Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, now in its 20th edition.
Cardiff Singer has launched the careers of some of the biggest opera stars and joining Nicola Heywood-Thomas in this edition of The Arts Show is Welsh baritone Neal Davies, mezzo-soprano Katie Bray and this year’s Welsh representative, soprano Sarah Gilford.
Plus, artistic director of Cardiff Singer, David Jackson, gives a run down of the changes to this years competition, which runs from 12th - 19th June.
