Jamie celebrates what would鈥檝e been the Satchmo鈥檚 120th year with the help of trumpeters and special guests Terence Blanchard and Sheila Maurice-Grey.
Jamie presents a special tribute to Louis Armstrong as the jazz world prepares to celebrate his 120th birthday. One of the most important figures in 20th century music, Satchmo emerged from the melting pot of early New Orleans jazz to become one of the world鈥檚 most popular musicians.
Alongside a selection of his favourite tracks, Jamie is joined by a pair of trailblazing trumpet players to talk about what Louis means to them鈥攖he Grammy-winning, Oscar-nominated composer and educator Terence Blanchard; and Sheila Maurice-Grey, the leader of London鈥檚 innovative afrobeat jazz band KOKOROKO.
To top it all off, Jamie dips into the 麻豆官网首页入口 archive for a special performance by Louis of one of his most iconic tracks.
