Reigning 100m breaststroke champion Peaty will be aiming to book his place in the final, while other swimming highlights include Japanese star Daiya Seto going for gold at his home games in the 400m individual medley.
Meanwhile, Britain鈥檚 Jade Jones begins her quest to become the first taekwondo fighter to win three Olympic gold medals. Team-mate and fellow world champion Bradly Sinden will also be competing. Two years ago, the Doncaster fighter became the first British man to win gold at the World Championships.
