Dujardin was going after an Olympic hat-trick in the individual dressage while in the men鈥檚 rugby sevens, Great Britain hoped to improve on their silver medal from Rio 2016.
Gold was the only thing on the mind of Britain鈥檚 rowers in the men鈥檚 four as they attempted to win their sixth-consecutive Olympic title in a run dating back to Sydney 2000.
Elsewhere it was time trial day in the men鈥檚 cycling with former Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas among those going for gold.
