Talking Movies reports from the French Riviera looking at highlights from this month's Cannes Film Festival including interviews with top stars and directors. The Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard, who starred in the opening night film Annette, explains why she was fully behind the festival's efforts to go green this year. The programme also explores exciting new films from American and British film-makers at Cannes. British actor Josh O'Connor, known for his portrayal of Prince Charles in The Crown, discusses his role in the new UK drama Mothering Sunday.

The team report on a new much-talked-about interpretation of the Anne Frank story from top Israeli director Ari Folman, which was launched at the festival. And Talking Movies also looks at how Covid-19 had an impact at Cannes both in terms of the stories directors brought to the screen as well as the restrictions imposed on Cannes festivalgoers.
