Hip-hop icon Common and jazz superstar Robert Glasper join forces for a festive takeover, sharing feel good hits and the best highlights from their record collections. Common is a Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe Award winning American rapper and actor. He released his first album Can I Borrow a Dollar in 1992, and his subsequent, acclaimed albums include Like Water for Chocolate, Electric Circus and Be. He is also known for his acting roles in films including Just Wright, The Odd Life of Timothy Green and Selma. His latest album, A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2, was released in September this year. Robert Glasper 鈥� who has also won multiple Grammy Awards - is an American pianist, songwriter and producer. He is known for his albums including Canvas, In My Element and Black Radio and Black Radio 2. He performed at the 6 Music Festival in Camden in 2020. Common and Robert Glasper collaborated together on the theme song for Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices 鈥� a TV series which saw Black celebrities and artists reading children鈥檚 books from Black authors.
