In this fourth episode, presenters Jeff Crosby and Li Tong meet some of the star female performers helping to transform the performing arts in China. The superstar of Peking Opera, Wang Peiyu explains how she is seeking to demystify the art form with the help of social media. Ying Huang, a western style opera singer, reveals how she is schooling a new generation of singers on to the operatic stage. Leading theatrical producer Xiao Yan shows how she has turned the classic novel, Six Records of a Floating Life, into an immersive theatrical experience, and the acclaimed director, Wang Ping, reveals how she adapted the story of Shanghai's revolutionary past into a sell-out dance-spectacular, The Eternal Wave.
