International Women’s Day, Bellaghy, and the Hills of Armagh
The life of Annie Maunder, whose contributions to astronomy remain unsurpassed, and in Bellaghy, a new workshop teaches people how to write an ethical will.
With International Women’s Day in mind, Anne Marie looks back at the life of Annie Dill Russell Maunder, The Lady Computer of Strabane, whose contributions to astronomy were never surpassed. A workshop in ethical will writing comes to the Seamus Heaney Homeplace in Bellaghy. And in Armagh, the ‘Afternoon on the Hill’ comes with a difference as a flower arranging workshop punctuates the tour.
Also, a walk in County Down takes us to the very point where St Patrick came ashore, and two TV presenters make an epic journey along the River Erne… by kayak!
Presented by Anne Marie McAleese.
