North East and Yorkshire Mains and Dessert
The remaining chefs compete over dishes inspired by British broadcasting, including celebrations of Saturday night TV and iconic dramas.
The three chefs are halfway through their heat, and the pressure is mounting. Once again, they each serve their unique interpretations of the brief celebrating 100 years of British broadcasting.
For mains, one chef is taking inspiration from the first royal Christmas message on the radio, another is celebrating Strictly Come Dancing, and a third has created an ode to Ant and Dec鈥檚 Saturday Night Takeaway. For dessert, we see a celebration of Darling Buds of May, a dish inspired by period drama Downton Abbey and a tribute to the London 2012 Olympics.
Only two will proceed to cook for the judges and have a chance to represent Yorkshire and north east England at the regional finals.
