Much of the world is suffering a cost of living crisis, the twin shocks of the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine mean the cost of food and energy is rising faster than it has for decades in many parts of the world.
As governments grapple with inflation, there is plenty for the business and political leaders gathering in the Swiss mountain resort of Davos to get stuck into, so what does the meeting鈥檚 host, the founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab see as the priorities for his delegates?
Aaron Heslehurst also hears from the CEO of recruitment giant Manpower Group, Jonas Prising, who explains what this picture of economic uncertainty means for workers around the world.
Also the head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, tells Aaron that governments will need to provide subsidies for food and energy to protect the worst off from the economic shocks we are all suffering.
