American rap artist Cakes Da Killa shares an hour of his favourite party music for 6 Music's Loud and Proud season, including tracks from Kaytranada, Deee-Lite, Pete Heller and Mr. Fingers.
Cakes Da Killa is the moniker of Rashard Bradshaw, an American rap artist who fuses hip hop, house, and electronic dance music. He came to prominence in the "queer explosion" of hip hop music stemming from New York in 2012 and is among the credited performers for the current trend of LGBTQ+ acceptance in the rap community.
He released his first music in 2011 and put out a series of mixtapes before his debut album Hedonism in 2016.
