Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden and 5 Live's Felicity Hannah are starting to become a bit obsessed with peat. In an earlier episode they discovered how our peatlands store more carbon than all the world's forests combined. So when we dig them up or damage them, a staggering amount of carbon is released.

A government announcement banning the sale of peat in gardening products is expected soon.
So today Deborah and Fliss look into whether the supply chain can make enough peat-free alternatives if a ban does come into force.
Meanwhile some listeners have been getting in touch with the show to say they think peat-free compost isn't as good. But are they right?
