In their second and final concert at the 2022 麻豆官网首页入口 Proms, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Daniel Harding play Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, 鈥楻omantic鈥�. First, they support Tabea Zimmermann 鈥� whose playing is, in the words of The Strad, of 鈥榖reathtaking beauty鈥� 鈥� as she rediscovers a Cold War classic: the intense melancholy and sardonic humour of the Viola Concerto, written in 1985 by the Russian dissident composer Alfred Schnittke. It couldn鈥檛 find more committed champions.
