Conductor Paavo J盲rvi with a playlist of grandeur and sweeping melodies

Conductor Paavo J盲rvi reveals familiar and unfamiliar works in a new light, including highly atmospheric music from T玫nu K玫rvits and a famous symphony by Tchaikovsky.

Paavo J盲rvi is one of the world's great conductors and he has worked with many leading orchestras around the globe, as well as having made over a hundred recordings. In this programme he draws on his Estonian roots and chooses music by some of that country鈥檚 finest composers including T玫nu K玫rvits, Erkki-Sven T眉眉r and Arvo P盲rt.

Paavo also discusses the purity of Bruckner鈥檚 symphonic music, Oscar Peterson鈥檚 amazing piano licks, and remembers his close friend the pianist Lars Vogt.
