The French, who lifted the trophy in style four years ago, started their campaign in Qatar with victories over Australia and Denmark, but their much-changed side then lost in their final group match to Tunisia. Poland scraped into the knockout stages but any team containing star striker Robert Lewandowski is in with a chance.
