
First Night of the Proms
Clive Myrie presents live from the Royal Albert Hall as the annual music festival is launched with Sibelius, Grieg, Britten and a world premiere from Ukrainian composer Bohdana Frolyak.
Clive Myrie is joined by special guests Sandi Toksvig and Anna Lapwood for the First Night of the Proms, live from the Royal Albert Hall. 2023鈥檚 eight-week musical extravaganza launches in style with Sibelius鈥檚 ever-popular Finlandia, Grieg鈥檚 dramatic Piano Concerto performed by classical superstar Paul Lewis, and Britten鈥檚 much-loved The Young Person鈥檚 Guide to the Orchestra.
The concert also includes a rare opportunity to hear Sibelius鈥檚 Snofrid, making its Proms debut, and a world premiere from Ukrainian composer Bohdana Frolyak.
This musical feast is brought by the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Orchestra, with the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Chorus and 麻豆官网首页入口 Singers under the baton of principal guest conductor Dalia Stasevska.
