Mercury Prize 2023 Live

Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant press play on this year’s winning Mercury Prize album: Erza Collective’s Where I’m Meant To Be.

Following on from hosting live coverage of the prestigious 2023 Mercury Prize, celebrating the 12 shortlisted Albums of the Year, Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant press play on the winning album - Ezra Collective's Where I'm Meant To Be.

‘Where I’m Meant to Be’ is Ezra Collective’s second album and was released in November 2022 on Partisan Records. The five-piece jazz collective is made up of Femi Koleoso (drums), TJ Koleoso (bass), Joe Armon-Jones (keys), James Mollison (saxophone) and Ife Ogunjobi (trumpet). This is the first time a jazz act has won in the Mercury's 31 year history.

Matt Everitt was also live at the event bringing unrivalled access to the ceremony, including interviews with the nominees and the first radio interview with Ezra Collective directly after they received their award.

The 12 acts who were up for this year's award are Arctic Monkeys, Ezra Collective, Fred Again.., J Hus, Jessie Ware, Jockstrap, Lankum, Loyle Carner, Olivia Dean, RAYE, Shygirl, & Young Fathers .
