Idris Elba, the superstar actor, rapper, singer, DJ, producer and campaigner chooses the tracks that take him back as he shares his early clubbing tales in 'Rewind Selector'.

Idris Elba, the superstar actor, rapper, singer, DJ, producer and campaigner is Spoony's 'Rewind Selector', picking the tracks that take him back to the dance floors of his youth. Idris is internationally known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series 'The Wire', DCI John Luther in the 麻豆官网首页入口 One series 'Luther', and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom'. He also starred opposite Beyonc茅 in the film 'Obsessed' in 2009, and last year saw the cinematic release of 'Luther: The Fallen Sun'. Idris has collaborated on music projects with Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and Jay-Z, to name a few, and his love of music goes way back, as in 1986 he began helping an uncle with his wedding DJ business and within a year had started his own DJ company with friends. Idris shares his memories of East London parties in the 80s, picking tracks by Loose Ends and Soul II Soul. He also remembers meeting Spoony for the first time at London club 'Twice As Nice' in the mid 90s and picks his ultimate clubbing tune.
DJ Spoony also serves up two very special mixes to keep the Friday night vibes flowing. Kicking off the show is 'The Good Groove 90s Party Mix' for hot tub discos, car seat dancing and living room sing-alongs everywhere. Then later on, our host takes to the decks live in the studio for 'The Good Groove Deep Cuts Mix', a glamorous, high energy selection that will make you want to push back the sofa and dance!
