Gary Davies looks back at the album that made Bruce Springsteen a global superstar.

Released in June 1984, Born In The USA was Springsteen's global breakthrough and remains his most successful album, with over 30,000 sales worldwide.
Its bombastic sound was in stark contrast to its predecessor, 'Nebraska', though both were borne out of the same early 80s recording sessions.

Within a year of its release, 'The Boss' graduated from arenas to stadiums - including in the UK, where he finally became a chart force to be reckoned with. In the States, the album gave him a record seven consecutive Top 10 singles and won him multiple awards, including four American Music Awards, a Grammy and two MTV Music Awards.

Featuring archive news and interview clips and the stories behind key tracks such as Glory Days, Dancing In The Dark, My Hometown and the iconic, yet often misinterpreted, title track.
