The Straw Hats easily overpower Vice Admiral Prodi and his men. Back at the food storage, Grount, in shock from having lost to Luffy earlier, refuses to join Bonham and Zappa who are ready to fight Luffy again. Then Grount reminisces about his encounter with former superior, Aokiji, and what the vice admiral taught him when he was a trainee. Grount gets his fighting spirit back and faces Luffy again. After a short but fierce battle, Luffy beats Grount, but Grount graciously accepts his defeat this time and renews his determination to one day arrest Luffy. The Straw Hats continue their journey to Whole Cake Island but deplete their newly-acquired food supply in just minutes.
